The MoFo Top 100 Documentaries

I do really want to watch The Salt of the Earth but it has been sitting in my rental queue for ages without being sent out so the chances aren't great that it'll arrive before the deadline.

Question: Does 20,000 Days on Earth count as a documentary or is it a mockumentary because people are playing self parodies or exaggerated versions of themselves? Or would we then discount every documentary because people always play up to camera, fudge the facts or present things in a stylized way?This was a discussion I had with someone yesterday. Personally I think it should count as a documentary.

Sherpa: Trouble on Everest is one I am looking forward to (it has not come out here yet). I have a fascination with people who choose to climb 8,000m peaks, and the life/death razor edge in the death zone. I am even more intrigued when they are content to rely on Sherpas to take a huge amount of risk for them for pitiful pay. It seems the height of selfishness and ego, and a very hollow achievement. Apparently this documentary tells the story from the Sherpas perspective.
