My Sexiest Female Television Characters List

Tools

9.

Olivia Pope, Scandal

After toiling in the business for years, Kerry Washington officially became a star in her sexually charged role of a Washington DC "Fixer" having an on again off again affair with the President of the United States. I know I'm pretty much the only person on this site who watches this show, but she is more than worthy of this rating.

8.

Gloria Pritchett, Modern Family

I would hope that this character's inclusion on this list wouldm't be much of a surprise. There is no denying that Sofia Vergara's physical assets are a big part of Gloria's appeal but the other thing I love about this character and a lot of people don't really notice it is her intelligence...Gloria is no dummy and is also not surprised when people assume that she is.

7.

Jennifer Marlowe, WKRP In Cincinnatti

Loni Anderson put herself on the map playing the voluptuous but brainy receptionist at an Ohio radio station. And the fact that Jennnifer was the smartest character on the show was no accident...when Anderson was originally approached for the role, Jennifer was an airhead and Anderson only agreed to take the role if they made Jennifer the smartest character on the show.

6.

Gabrielle Solis, Desperate Housewives

Eva Longoria was a sexy scene stealer as a former runway model married to ruthless corporate raider Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) primarily because he kept her covered in cash and bling.

Comments:

Gloria Bunker: I loved Sally Struthers on All in the Family and I loved the episode where it was really hot in the summer and Archie threw a fit because Gloria was wearing a skimpy outfit to beat the heat. Boy, did she look hotter than the weather!
Emma Peel: I don't think it will matter who follows in the final tally of this list. Diana Rigg as Emma Peel is, and will always be for me the most beautiful woman ever on television. Those catsuits she wore while delivering martial arts blows to the baddies kept me glued to the TV as a young boy.
Kelly Garrett: Another favorite. She will always be my favorite Angel. I think she was the most beautiful of all of them.
Emily Thorne: I never watched either of her series but I noticed her on the ads for Revenge and fell for her in the couple of Marvel Comics movies she's been in.
Jeannie and Jeannie 2: I've always loved Barbara Eden but on this show I didn't realize there was a Jeannie 2. I prefer brunettes but from the pic you provided I prefer the original Jeannie.
Olivia Pope: Well, count me as another who's never watched this show. My sister never misses it and calls me about it a lot. But I know who Kerry Washington is and I think she is stone cold beautiful!
Gloria Pritchett: I only watch Modern Family off and on but I love her and have loved her in earlier comic movies I've seen her in where she didn't have as much makeup on and I think she has such a soft, beautiful face. Yes, her, um assets are obvious but I honestly like her face more.
Jennifer Marlowe: I watched WKRP in Cincinnati all the time and actually preferred Jan Smithers as Bailey on the show, but Loni was definitely a looker and she really showed off her intelligence on the show, and on Match Game, which she appeared on a lot and gave really smart answers. Once again, I loved the face more than the body and enjoyed the intelligence. I'm a weirdo, I know.
Gabrielle Solis: I think Eva was the best-looking out of all the Housewives, so I hope you don't put another Housewife on here (but I'll live if you do).
Alexis Colby: I've loved Joan Collins since the early 70's when she was in the movie, Tales From the Crypt and then Empire of the Ants. But I loved her in Dynasty, especially when she and Linda Evans got in their infamous cat fights!

This list just keeps getting better and better!

Diana Rigg was gorgeous – I never responded to The Avengers though, it was a bit too smug and throwaway.

Kelly Garrett is an all time favourite of mine and one of my earliest crushes. It's great to see her so high on the list. Fan of Scandal too, as you know, and Kerry looks amazing on that show.

4.

Alicia Florrick, The Good Wife

Julianna Margulies first made an impression on me in ER but she really came into her own creating, for my money, the sexiest female television attorney ever.

3.

Abby Ewing, Knots Landing

This character was #1 on my list of favorite prime time soap characters and she was in serious consideration for #1 here too, but #3 is pretty good...Donna Mills electrified the screen with this character and looked flawless doing it.

2.

Amanda Woodward, Melrose Place

Melrose Place was on the verge of cancellation after a couple of seasons until Aaron Spelling came to his good luck charm Heather Locklear to come onto the show and the ratings went through the roof. Amanda Woodward was the owner of an advertising agency whose favorite hobby was sleeping with men who were already involved with other women.

Well, that's #2, but I just can't leave this list here...the following are some honorable mentions that I can't let go of this thread without recognizing:

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

Olivia Benson, Law & Order SVU

Dee Dee McCall, Hunter

Phoebe Buffay, Friends

Carol Foster Lambert, Step By Step (I know there's a lot of love out there for Chrissy Snow, but I found the more mature Suzanne WAY sexier).

Donna Abbondando, NYPD Blue

Karen Walker, Will & Grace

Kelly Bundy, Married...with Children

OK, let me stop before I'm unable to...and now my # 1 sexiest female television character:

1.

Jill Monroe, Charlie's Angels

Scoff if you will, but Farrah Fawcett (at the time she was still Fawcett-Majors) was the #1 television star in 1977, the most recognizable face (and hair) on network television, and a poster of her in a red one-piece was on the bedroom wall of every seventeen year old boy in the country. She was no Meryl Streep, but she was the most famous woman on the planet at the time. I just have one more thing to say...RIP, Farrah.

Hope someone enjoyed the list...stay tuned for the guys.

You can't win an argument just by being right!
Damn, I didnt know she died. Vale.

And yes, that hair was oscar worthy.

You can't win an argument just by being right!
She died the same week Michael Jackson did.
Damn. I dont recall it at all. Was she a recluse in later years? I dont recall any news about her since her blow up with Ryan
