In 1994, Whitney Houston took the stage in Durban, South Africa, making her the first major Western musician to visit the newly unified, post-apartheid nation following President Nelson Mandela’s winning election. This performance was more than a concert; it was a celebration of freedom, hope, and unity. Whitney’s powerhouse voice and emotional delivery brought joy and inspiration to a country newly liberated.

Now, 30 years after the historic visit, The Concert for a New South Africa (Durban) comes to the big screen for the first time. Digitally remastered in 4K and featuring newly-enhanced audio, the film captures every note, every cheer, every tear, immortalizing a night that transcended music and became a beacon of change and celebration.

The expected playlist has most of the hits except sadly:
Love Will Save the Day
I'm Your Baby
All the Man

Apparently Love Will Save the Day will be on the album release though.

I can't imagine kids going to see a Whitney Houston concert tbh.

It's in cinemas October 23rd and 27th.

oh okay thank you. i know i mean teenagers like 12-16 who loves whitney houston and thanks if it be release in australia

we dont have hoyts where iam, only hoyts is 2 hours D= we have event cinemas.
The other problem is that it is just a recording, it's not Whitney herself aged 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 31, 36 or even for that matter the last time magic came from her mouth 39 coming to personally visit you and sing to you one to one in your house.

They have not arranged that sadly.

I picked up a pre-order last night on a previously unreleased Whitney record, limited edition 2000 copies only vinyl, officially on sale on Black Friday.
I suspect it was some kind of balls up this retailer putting it on sale briefly.
Hope they fulfill the order!
(I should have ordered 2 but never mind)

Literally 12 days to go.

12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They ought to have given everyone one drop of her perspiration.
Oh how I would have worshipped my drop.
I would literally have married my drop.

From someone who attended the press preview

"You do get swept away with the concert and if you’ve never seen Whitney live, this is a credible close second when seen on the big screen."
