Favorite movie franchises

I am not a huge fan of franchises but there is 2 I really enjoy and still going good*


Batman - I still enjoy watching Batman begins and Dark Knight. The last one was fairly good but part 2 not until 2026

Alien - I thought Romulus was solid and I did like Prometheus.*


I used to like Terminator but 25 years of terrible sequels destroyed it

Ma and Pa Kettle

I saw The Egg and I, the film that introduced Ma and Pa Kettle and have never been the least bit interested in visiting their franchise

Iron Man was alright.

Ma and Pa Kettle movies is sorta like the 60s TV show Green Acres, which I also like. Just escapist fun.

Mr. Moto film series, these were good especially the earlier films.

Ditto, and same for me with Alien and Star Wars, I'll still enjoy the original movies but future installments I can live without.

New Batman, James Bond and Sherlock Holmes movies will still pique my interest, that’s largely down to the characters rather than franchise worlds.

Evil Dead but did not like the last one.

There aren't many film series I'll watch more than a handful of entries. Notably I'll watch a lot of Godzilla movies. Star Wars I'll only watch the Original Trilogy, I'll only watch the original Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street, I won't watch any other slasher series in full; I've only ever seen the first Texas Chain Saw, Jaws, Psycho, and Exorcist with little to no interest in the sequels; I've only seen the first Alien (I do want to see Aliens at some point), the only Pirates of the Caribbean I'll bother watching is the first one, Indiana Jones just give me the original three, Jurassic Park I'll stick with the original, I don't like Terminator, I've only seen the first Predator, I don't like James Bond, okay this is getting ridiculous...
