Anyone who has watched Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes will hear La Taylor refer to BUtterfield 8 as "a piece of sh*t."

I can't remember which one it was, The Woman in the Window, or Scarlet Street, maybe it was both, but apparently Edward G. Robinson was dismissive of his work in one, or both, which surprised me as I thought it showed off some of the best acting of his career.

Also, Christopher Plummer used to refer to the Sound of Music as "The Sound of Mucus".

Also, I love Manhattan, but Woody Allen doesn't. He said "at this point in my life, if this is the best I can do, they shouldn't give me money to make movies." And I thought I was too hard on myself...

He might have been sore because they had a professional singer dub over his voice in Eidelveiss. And I'm on his side. The professional singer does a great job, but there's so much heart in his original performance. I recommend looking it up.

I recall seeing that a long time ago....urged on by some religious people. After all, it DID feature a religious icon of very dubious historicity and Newman got to pose as a religious person. As I recall, the minimalist sets were the least of the problem; I kinda liked those. The weird pseudo-religious, fictionalized plot line was really strange. Actually, my favorite part of the movie was Jack Palance as that over-the-top magician, challenging religion with cheap illusions. It's too bad that nobody told him that he could not really fly.

John Cleese didn't like making Meaning of Life, and I feel like he never liked the finished product either. I know Cleese didn't like Yellowbeard much, and did it, by his own admittance, out of a favor to Graham Chapman.

I know Betsy Palmer hated everything about Friday the 13th except the paycheck.

Michael Caine had similar sentiments about Jaws 4; he did it to pay for his house and not because it's a good movie.

I remember reading that Bette Davis didn't like The Bride Came C.O.D. although I found it highly amusing.

I only like about a couple of movies of Woody Allen, and "Manhattan" is one of them.

I really liked The Bride Came COD

Gregory Peck hated his western Mackenna's Gold (1969)...IMO it wasn't that bad and might have been pretty good if the studio hadn't ordered 45 minutes of exposition cut out of the film. It was better than his previous western The Stalking Moon (1968).

I found it highly amusing too. Yeah Bette Davis said that all she got out of the film was a butt full of cactus quills, which leads me to believe she wasn't a fan.
