Uzumaki

Uzumaki the short anime series is one of the most bizarre, twisted things I've ever watched. Many moments were so absurdly twisted that they were almost funny, and I'm not sure if that was by design. For example, there's a boy who's very slow moving, and he's constantly showing up late for school. One day a student looks out the window of the classroom and the boy has turned into a snail-like creature and it is slowly slithering up the glass. As horrifying as it is, It also just made me laugh.

As a whole, Uzumaki was very enjoyable - the art work was awesome and the storytelling was very creative.

There is a live action film as well. I watched it years ago.

Junji Ito's work is pretty dark and twisted.

I did not know that. I'll have to find it.

It's playing on Prime Video.

I've watched a few episodes. Pretty trippy. I guess I'll continue but I'm not sure what I think about it. And it's hard to imagine how it continues at this pace. Guess I'll probably try to find out, though.
