Wow, Mr. Blond got all of that round! That Michael Jackson song is amazing. Surprised I've never heard it before.

In other news, Dream Theater will have to wait for another day. The tour is postponed due to James being sick. It happens.

Never heard the Earth Song? Where have you been during the 90's? There's been a lavish video too.

I was only listening to alternative rock stations and stopped watching MTV regularly around that time. Good to know that there's a lavish video since his were the best. I watched Thriller for the first time in a long time and it holds up very well.

R7 is open for listening and voting.
In case some of the participants couldn't submit songs on time, I change points from 20 to 15 (6 to 5 upvotes).

Last couple of rounds have killed me. Let's see how I do with this one.

Whoever nominated "Sparkle & Shine" has my undying love. Big fan of that band and that song, even if they didn't really come to mind when submitting.

Same to whoever nominated "Bitch". That was actually the first song I tried to submit, but someone beat me to it.

That was me. I'm starting to think we have similar tastes! The Devil You Know got a lot of play in my car back then thanks to my trusty Discman with cassette adapter.

Looking at some of your past picks, I might agree! [high five]

As for Econoline Crush, I think it was an online friend that recommended the band to me back in the late 90s. I actually think that "Sparkle & Shine" was the first song I heard from them, and I got hooked. I went back and listened to Affliction and then checked out Brand New History once it came out.

It was totally serendipitous that I discovered them. Even though my local alternative station never played their music before, they interviewed the band and played "Home" from that album, and I was hooked. They never played them again, and neither did MTV, so if I hadn't turned on the radio at that moment, I would have never known about them.

That O.C. Supertones song from that round is really good. Late '90s music has a bad rep, probably due to nu-metal and all the boy bands, but it's way better than I remember. It was a great time for ska, industrial and electronic music in particular.

I'm a big fan of The Supertones. Even saw them live back in the early 2000s. They gave a great live show, very energetic.
