What Is The Most Disturbing Film?

Tools

Reqiuem for a Dream.

I haven't see this yet, but The Descent looks pretty damn disturbing. I'm going to see the Sneak Preview on July 26th. If any horror fans out there are interested, I got my information at www.bigscreenboxoffice.com This version is different from the version out in the UK – it has footage and interviews not seen anywhere else and will only be included in the sneak preview on the 26’th I can't wait!

I previously wrote Hellraiser 2, but I have to change that to Cannibal Holocaust. I just finished watching it and I feel sick, so close to puking my guts out that I can taste the vomit in the back of my throat. I usually have a very tough stomach, sitting through other gory films without even flinch, but there is something about humans eating and tearing each other apart in such a gruesome and realistic maner that reaches to the very bottom of my stomach, especially the scen where one of the expedition crew get hacked to pieces and the cannibals fling his bodyparts and organs in the air. Seriously, this movie is freaking disgusting, watch it at your own peril.
I don't think that should count because technicaly this is a banned movie in some countries and it is supposed to be disturbing

As for a disturbing movie Strange days counts for me,it has a lot of violence

requim for a dream is probably in the top ten, but "boys don't cry" pushes the limit in some scenes too.

to me the most disturbing film would be.....Just Like Heaven

Why? Because the beer I couldn't take it! how can someone drink so much?

A Clockwork Orange, hands-down. Easily the most disturbing movie of all time, having originally garnered an X rating for its graphic depictions of violence.

I really thought that The House Of Sand and Fog was a bit disturbing and also The Shining is always one that gets to me.

Ugh... just watched Soylent Green. Good flick; Heston proves once again that he could turn the ham on like no other. Really liked it, but I don't think I'll be seeing it again anytime soon. Pretty grim stuff. I mean, I can't even eat a frippin' poptart now without thinking I'm munchin' on somebody's grandma. And come on, who really wants to see poor old Edward G. Robinson die?

Nobody. That's who.

Gozu - Very bizarre, incest, a woman marketing her own breastmilk to the townspeople, death-by-spoon-in-the-ass, the birth of a middle aged man by a woman no more than half his age.

Cannibal Holocaust - Torture, animal cruelty, rape, sexual mutiliation, and of course cannibalism.

Ichi the Killer - Very brutal rape scenes, brutal torture, brutal slashing murders, lots of spraying blood. Brutal...

Zardoz - Brief rape & murder. Their behavior is what's most disturbing.

Naked Lunch - Typewriters turning into drug-addicted beetles & transgendered sex beasts, the visual retelling of Bill Borroughs accidentally murdering his wife, aliens being chained up and used by junkies for their psychoactive alien juices. Bizarre, I mean c'mon it's William S. Borroughs through the eyes of Cronenburg.

...I don't really find "gore" films like Ichi disturbing so I focused on the truly disturbing deaths/rapes...

I have to return some videotapes.
Have to second Requiem for a Dream. But the movie that really creeped me out big time was Miracle Mile (1989).

Yeah, Requiem was real disturbing. They kind of showed people doing drugs.

Absolutely terrifying.

Yeah so...that isn't what is disturbing (VERY different word than terrifying, btw) about the film. The act of doing drugs isn't disturbing, well, to me anyway. It's what happened to these people's lives. The shock treatment scene didn't make you feel uncomfortable at all? You were singing tunes and humming along were ya? Right....

NOT ACTUALLY BANNED
I was actually snoring. The shock treatment simply looked painful, but I wasn't disturbed.

I was more disturbed watching those two little girls stare at Danny in The Shining.

Requiem for a Dream is so boring to me. I didn't care enough to be disturbed.

Yeah, Requiem was real disturbing. They kind of showed people doing drugs.
the girl & girl with a the double sided...errrr...toy...was unbelievably disturbing...and I thought any girl on girl scene would HAVE to be great

One of the most disturbing films for me to watch is Pink Flamingo's. Grant it it is absolutely funny, but it is also very sickening as well especially at the end when Devine eats the Dog S***.

Hostle By Far

that film made me ill to the stomoch lol
how can they get away with showing that to people
