Deadpool & Wolverine

I would count myself as a MCU First Wave participant. Saw most of the movies before endgame, but saw some leaks forming on the way there.

After Endgame, I’m done. Unique standalone stuff I’ll watch, but count me out for the standard fare movies I consumed the first time. I don’t see this movie having a positive impact on the MCU for the bloc of viewers like me.

It’s funny that for as much criticism the DC movies get, I’ll never stop with Batman movies. You figure it out and let me know. Marvel lacks a character like that, which is common knowledge.

Very interested to see what it will do on its own and what it will do for the MCU.
It's not exactly a secret that Marvel is bringing back all of the characters that used to be licensed to Fox.

Somewhere between D&W and next year's Fantastic Four, moviegoers will get the idea and then it's just a matter of time before the MCU has its first full-blown X-Men movie.

I had a lot of fun with this one. On its own premise of course, which is a thin string of gags, jokes, cameos and stylish action sequences.

If you like the Deadpool character you’ll like this. If you don’t you’ll dislike it. Simple.

And If you were nervous about Deadpool in Disneyland, don’t be. This is a Deadpool movie through and through.

Deadpool & Wolverine

There's never been anything like Deadpool & Wolverine - for fans of the genre, this is true nirvana.

Paying homage to the genre's past like no movie ever has, it is at once a significant re-invention of what the genre can do, particularly in its R-rated variety, as well as a very respectful (yes, respectful) way of honoring its predecessors.

It's almost hard to believe Hugh Jackman, who's never been finer than he is here, has been playing Wolverine for almost a quarter-century.

Unlike the dreadful The Flash, which managed to criminally waste Michael Keaton's long-awaited return as Batman, this movie makes the most of it - and then some.

Of course, there's a lot more surprises in store for fans - and it's absolutely mind-boggling that almost all of it was kept as secret as it was for such a long time. Let's just say, it's the stuff of comic-book fans' dreams.

And there are, of course, a number of fresh faces here - Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen make phenomenal additions to the MCU's all-star roster. They are both fantastic, in a way that perhaps only British actors can.

Whatever you do, make absolutely sure you stay all the way through the end credits - this one is really worth it!

Cameo porned market researched production.

The film was enjoyable. On the same level as The Fall Guy. It has a good energy and bits and pieces, but doesn’t feel great as a movie.

It really is a young boy’s wishlist fulfilled. All the iconic images you want are there, almost a payoff for all the years that comic fans have suffered from inaccurate portrayals of their heroes on screen.

The previous post mentioned The Flash and how it underperformed. This is the same movie. It just doesn’t have a controversial actor involved and shoddy cgi. It also has the branding of Ryan Reynolds and his high Q rating.

If you are going to see this, you already know what you’re in for. It’s just not a Guardians of the Galaxy level experience.

LMAO

Saw it this morning. This was fun. Reynolds and Jackman are good together and there are some enjoyable laugh out loud moments. 4th best film of the year for me.

Just saw it. I liked it. I laughed so much became somewhat depleted. It'll make a ton of money and deserve it. The silliness and 4th Wall humor is perfect for the Deadpool franchise. Not for other franchises though ( Thor L&T ). Don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy it.

TL&T > D&W

The Guy Who Sees Movies
Too much stuff going on. I was sick of it by the time it ended. It was so visually fatiguing that I found myself checking my wristwatch to see when it was over. Hopefully this one will put those characters to bed for a while.

Watched it for the 3rd time today, still finding new details and Easter eggs.

Is Deadpool & Wolverine the best Deadpool movie?

I'd rank it as the worst of the three to be honest. But this speaks more toe the quality of the series and not of this film. I think Deadpool 2 is the best when it comes to story and pacing it's a perfect movie. This one more showed up how terribly Disney and WB botched comic book films/TV series.

Is Deadpool & Wolverine the best Deadpool movie?
Easily, yes!

There are over 45 cameos, Easter eggs, and other interesting tidbits in the movie. Don't be surprised if you didn't catch them all on your first viewing!
